The new big man on campus

Looking at all the current seniors, the seniors from last year and even back to my freshman year, I feel like  our class is not ready to take the mantle. Having always looked up (usually literally because they were always taller than me) to the seniors, it feels wrong to know that soon I will be the one that the new freshman will be looking up to and be shy around. Sports is where it will be most noticeable. Seniors are given the privileges in sports, and always walk with a little more swagger in their step during the season because they know that they are the invincible, the BMOC. Being a senior next year is something that is not nearly as big of a dilemma as I think. We will walk in the same hallways that we did this year, have the same teachers and attend for the same hours. Three years are almost done, lets get the third over before we start thinking about the fourth shall we?

  1. Though our class may not seem physically ready to be seniors (I can empathize with having to literally look up at most of them), our mentality is different. I know we all look forward to the many privileges that are allowed to seniors, but our class also recognizes the hard work and responsibility that we will inevitably have to take on next year. Physical aspects aside, I think we're ready.
